Yucatán, and particularly its capital Mérida, offers a unique blend of safety, culture, and modern amenities. Mérida has consistently been ranked as one of the safest cities in Mexico and all of the Americas. As of 2025, real estate agents in Yucatán are required to have an official license to operate.
